PWii order

As luck would have it, I have the day off from work. So, I got my pre-order on. I’m number 2 on the waiting list at my local GameStop. I would have been number 1, but after I saw no one was waiting I decided to pop into the local Target and pick up a few necessities.

I went ahead and pre-ordered an extra remote and nunchuk, a classic controller, and a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I’m sorry Nintendo, but your name alone is not enough to make me pay close to double the price for an SD card. Nearly every time I try and type this, I end up typing “DS card” instead.

Come on over on November 19th and we can Wii Sports until the breaka breaka dawn.

Nice! I was going to email you and ask if you managed to get a preorder, but thought maybe I ought check your blog first… Myself, I had to get to work early so I couldn’t go wait for a preorder. I called around 1PM to the 2 gamestops and 1 ebGames in the area… all completely sold out of preorders. Sigh.

The Wii is going to be huge. I need to buy NTDOY stock.

Reading what some people went through on Joystiq and elsewhere I guess I got awful damned lucky. I forgot to call and check on allotments the night before, I only showed up 30-40 minutes early and I didn’t even need to.

I talked to my friend in Seattle later that day and some folks had camped out overnight. He was about number 30 in line. Never heard if he got one though. . .
