This was terribly funny in elementary school.

April 15th was income tax day (here in the United States). Those of us who still fill out our 1040s by hand pulled our calculators from the drawer in which they lay. Because lets face it Barbie was right, math is hard.

Those of us who’s sense of humor has not sufficiently outgrown elementary school probably entered these five numbers1 at least once and giggled to ourselves. Maybe we showed our wives who also find prepubescent humor amusing2.

1 Oftentimes this was done as 58008 with the instructions to look at the calculator screen upside down. This action allows the alternate forms 5318008 and 55378008.

2 If you don’t get it, ask a 4th grader for help.

I didn’t realize what it was (until i saw you tag it as boobs) even though I did it all the time when I was bored in math class.

I wasn’t sure how obtuse I ought to be in my description. I tend to err on the side of being a bit too obscure if I think it might potentially increase the punch of the joke.
