Dragon Warrior monsters cross stitch 15: Metal Scorpion
Unlike the Metal Slime, who you will meet later, or other “Metal” creatures in future installments of the series, the Metal Scorpion has no particular special abilities nor defense. He’s just a tougher version of the Scorpion in a gray hue.
This gets me nearly every time. In case you weren’t yet aware, the “Metal” monsters in Dragon Warrior / Dragon Quest have abnormally high defenses to the extent that they are nearly impossible to hit. I’m currently still playing Dragon Quest VIII and every time I would run into a Metal Scorpion in that game I would proceed to instruct my party to use all of their instant kill or “Metal” specific attacks, only to realize they weren’t necessary.
