Return of Ganon
The problem with making gifts is that gifts are most effective when they are a surprise. Therefore, I can’t share photos of them with y’all until they are opened. It eats me up inside.
Here’s what I’ve been working on for the past few months. It was a considerably larger project than I had anticipated. This is Ganon from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Specifically, this is the screen you see when Link dies in Zelda II. It’s such a striking image in all black with an accent of light orange. As bad as I was at Zelda II I had an opportunity to see this screen plenty of times.
Oh, and it has a secret: Ganon is watching 24 hours a day. His eyes are filled in with glow-in-the-dark thread. I couldn’t find a way to take a photo of this, but trust me when I say it’s awesome.
Alas, being a gift it is not mine to look at any longer. I have given it away as part of the Talking Time Festivus gift swap for this year. I hope it will bring joy to its new home.
