Lodging

We’ll be having the ceremony at Opossum Creek Retreat which has a number of cabins that sleep anywhere between 4 and 6 people apiece. Call to reserve at 1.888.488.4836 and be sure to mention you’ll be attending the wedding. We’re really hoping our best friends will book a cabin and keep the wedding party going on well into the night. Dogs are welcome though an extra $20 fee is required. We encourage each and every one of you to bring your canine companions. Our boy Leroy will most definitely be there. Please visit the site and book early, as the cabins may go quickly. Cabins are all booked, as far as I can tell from the website.

If you’re game for it, one of the cabins we’ve already rented sleeps an additional 10 people in bunk and twin beds. We’ve already booked this, so they’re yours on a first come first served basis. Please contact us to reserve a bed if you want one so we can have an accurate head count.

If you’d rather not stay in a cabin on premises or if they become full you can find a hotel or motel near Fayetteville, WV.

Another great option would be to stay at Hawk’s Nest State Park which has full service lodge rooms overlooking the Gauley River at very reasonable rates. The park is about 12 miles away from the wedding site on US60. Being very near my grandmother’s house Hawk’s Nest was always one of my most beloved destinations for picnics and whatnot.
